In 1988, the late Melanio M. Saporas, an overseas Filipino worker who rose from an impoverished town in the Province of Leyte, Philippines, started a small single proprietorship recruitment agency named Canada Manpower Services, Philippines with a vision of letting the world experience the renowned Filipino hospitality and exceptional service. With the help of his wife, Virginia R. Lanoy, Mr. Saporas successfully provided Filipino workers to numerous foreign employers, such as Oil Drilling & Exploration Pty, Ltd., Majuko Construction, Inc., Platypus Oilfield Ltd., SII Specialty Industries, Inc.

As a way forward to the untimely demise of Mr. Saporas in 1997, his wife, Virginia R. Lanoy, took over and continued his legacy through MMS Placement International, Inc.

Through perseverance and faith in the Almighty, the company grew and is continuously providing the world with quality Filipino service in the fields of construction/ industrial services, oil drilling, hospitality, household service, food and beverage, information technology, advertising and marketing, medical, entertainment, finance and economic, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, telecommunications, and transportation.
